EU AI Act — Article 50 transparency
Article 50 makes AI interactions transparent. As your AI provider, AiSU Strata surfaces the required disclosures by default — so your users are informed, and your deployer-side transparency is largely inherited from us.
The obligation
What Article 50 requires
Transparency duties apply from 2 August 2026 and fall primarily on the AI provider. The 2026 Digital Omnibus did not defer them.
Disclose the AI interaction
People must be informed when they are interacting with an AI system, unless it is obvious from the context.
Disclose AI-generated content
Content produced by an AI system must be disclosed as AI-generated so people can judge it accordingly.
Mark output machine-readably
AI-generated output must carry a machine-readable marker. For pre-existing generative systems this applies from 2 December 2026.

Persistent disclosure in every chat surface
A plain-language notice — you are interacting with an AI system and responses are AI-generated — sits under the input in both the in-app AiSU Strata assistant and the embeddable chat widget. It is shown in the user’s language, stays visible while typing and generating, and is not buried in a menu or terms page.
Your users are informed by default
Because the disclosure ships inside the product and the embeddable widget, the provider-side transparency is inherited by every customer — you do not build or maintain it. The widget disclosure is configurable, so you can localize or tailor it to your context (and opt out only if you present an equivalent yourself).
Machine-readable marking on our roadmap
The interaction disclosure required from 2 August 2026 is live today. Machine-readable marking of AI-generated output — required for pre-existing generative systems from 2 December 2026 — is on our roadmap ahead of that date.
What stays your responsibility
We cover the provider-side disclosures in the surfaces AiSU controls. Article 50 still places obligations on you as a deployer in your own context — for example, where you present AiSU under your own brand to your users, or generate synthetic media. We make the honest, scoped claim: your users are informed by default in our surfaces; AI uses outside AiSU remain yours to disclose.
